I’m struggling to find words to express the way this poem touches me, raises questions about the difficulty of finding our way into the mindset of this young martyr. Can we ever hope to understand his utter devotion to God, to Baha’u'llah, such that he endured torture of unimaginable horror?
Wow, that’s such an amazing poem. Have you ever published any of your poetry?
The Martyr’s state is quite a mystery . I mean, Ruholllah once wrote :
When shall it be, oh my Loving God
That for love of Thy face
I shall offer my life in Thy path
That I can offer my life with courage,
Joyful is the moment of the site of sacrifice
Where openly I shall sing to the King of Glory His praise
( This was in spanish so it’s my bad translation of it)
It always boggles the mind that they were so young these youth, and so not of this world… yet they were! Badi after all, completely transformed in one night. That’s all it took. Amazing.
