Thanks to Edwin Rutsch I was made aware of an RSA video of Simon Baron-Cohen presenting his ideas on cruelty and evil as the result of an absence of empathy. It’s well-worth a look: the interview at the end is particularly interesting, exploring areas not covered in the book.
